Dr. L H Hiranandani Hospital, Thane
This is a 200 bed super specialty hospital spread over 2 lacs sqft. located in Thane. AECOM were MEP consultants.
The entire hospital is air-conditioned with 4 nos. 250 tr water cooled TRANE make chillers & 2 nos. 100 TR heat pumps.
The condenser water demand is being served by cooling tower is of 750 GPM each.
The USP of this system is in thermal storage to take care of dual tariff resulting into substantial power savings.
The hydronic system has 3 primary pumps for chilled water, 1 for Brine PHE & 2 for PHE for TES & 5 secondary chilled water pumps with VFD’s installed on secondary pumps to take care of varying secondary load.
Apart from above pumps, it also has 4 condenser, 2 brine & 2 hot water pumps.
The system has about 91 air handling units apart from 18 AHU’s for critical areas such as OT & ICU.
The mechanical completion of HVAC is in finishing stage.
IDFC Bank Back Office, Mahape
This office facility with large cafeteria is spread across three floors & is about 1,00,000 sq ft. The entire building is a warm shell, (central air-conditioning carried out by Anukool for developer K Raheja) & fit-out requirement was catered with combination of CHW AHU & Daikin make VRV units.
The project was carried out in 90 days. JLL was the project management consultant & DWP interics were the architects for the project.
Willis International, Thane
The high end IT facility is spread over 1.3 lacs square feet in Lodha I think Thane. Large part of the area is 24x7 operation & hence the system is divided into two parts. Central plant with AHU catering in day time while the night time ops areas are covered with about 300 HP Daikin make VRV units.
The HVAC was finished in 90 days flat including final handover to facility team.
The project management consultant was JLL & Architects were N Moser & associates.
Zara, Flora Fountain, Mumbai
This Spanish high end retail space is spread across five floors measuring about 50,000 sq. ft. Each floor is air-conditioned with independent Daikin make VRV system totaling to about 340 HP. The fresh air in the building is being catered by Heat Recovery Wheel (HRW) to ensure compliance to green building norms. The controls of entire utilities are being managed thru clients own BMS, "Eco MT" system.
The project was carried out in 4 months time. The project management & local architects were "Triumph Concepts" New Delhi.
Unichem Laboratory Ltd, Goa
Unichem laboratory Ltd is a Research & Development center in Goa. It’s a ground + 3 buildingof 75,000 sq ft. The facility consists of a formulation R&D lab, Sterile R&D lab, analytical lab, pilot lab, chemical lab. Genera area includes admin office, cafeteria and a cultural hall.
The formulation lab is designed as per ISO 8 and sterile lab as per ISO 5. Some critical systems had RH as low as 40%, which was achieved by using HRW. Some systems had inbuilt heaters controlled by a PLC logic. All the systems were connected to DX out door units. The entire work was done as per GLP.
Surya Hospital, Mumbai
Surya Hospital is a well known brand in healthcare India. Surya specializes in Neonatal Intensive Care and Pediatric Health Care. It’s a ground + 3 building with of 25000 sqft. Critical Floor includes the Operation Theaters catered with AHU which is connected to Daikin VRV system. The OT includes the Laminar flow station and return air risers with SS construction. The entire ducting is of Aluminium. The OT ducting was cleaned with robotic duct cleaner as a special case. Other floors includes OPD, Admin area and Rooms.
Star MAA TV, Hyderabad
It’s a Head Office of Star MAA channel in Hyderabad a typical office building with Ground + 6 construction built by L&T. The air conditioning is done with VRV system. A fast tract project commissioned in 75 days. The building had one technical floor consisting of 2 Studios, PCR room, Voice over room, Editing facility etc. The Studio rooms are air conditioned with low static ductable and lined with acoustic lining to maintain 40-45 DB inside.
After successfully completing Star MAA in Hyderabad, client recommended for this particular job. The job was critical considering the Db levels involved as it’s a live Studio. There are Three Studios, out of which Two are live Studios with area of @ 1000Sqmtr. The DB required in the Studio is 25NC. To achieve this we have gone ahead with AHUs with Plug Fans and in built sound attenuators delivering @ 50DB at the outlet. The entire ducting is designed with low velocity and lined with acoustic insulation. There are few critical areas with DB criteria like Audio room, VOC rooms etc. Considering the high RH in Kochi, for most of the rooms we have used de-humidifiers to maintain the RH not more than 50%.
Piramal Health Care, Mumbai
This facility in Chandivali is a combination of classified and non-classified areas. Its designed as per ISO 8 & ISO 7 with AHUs connected to Daikin VRV system. The project is first of its kind with Daikin VRV system wherein we got the RH as low as 45% in certain areas of Pilot Plant.
